Alberto Giacometti, a modern adventure

Alberto Giacometti is considered as one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. Swiss painter and sculptor born in 1901, his work is known and recognized worldwide. His first works were influenced by the Cubist movement and later by his exchanges in the 1930s with the Surrealists André Breton, Salvador Dali and Louis Aragon.

This slender bronze sculptures representing filiform silhouettes and human heads will make him famous to the public: the Walking Man, the Standing Woman, the Great Head, the Very Small Figurine, the Nose, the Unpleasant Object to throw away, and many more.

An exceptional and spectacular retrospective

You will have the opportunity to discover more than 150 of the artist's works in spring 2019 at the Musée LaM, thanks to an exceptional retrospective that includes sculptures, paintings, lithographs, sketches, portraits, etc. A modern and exciting adventure that invites you to admire Alberto Giacometti and his many works.
