35 minutes from the Hôtel Morphée***, the Louvre-Lens museum is a modern and elegant museum. Inaugurated in December 2012, it is located in a park that was once a coal mining site.
The Louvre-Lens museum presents works of art from the collections of the Louvre museum in Paris. Every year, around 10% of the works are renewed. The museum has become a prestigious cultural attraction in the Hauts-de-France region.
The Gallery of Time
In a spectacular 3000m² space, the Galerie du Temps exhibits works of art in a new way. In an open space, without being separated into rooms, it presents a chronological exhibition of more than 200 works of art from the Louvre Museum from different periods of history: Antiquity, the Middle Ages and Modern Times.
