Sweetness of life in Arras

Would you like to spend a day strolling through the streets of Arras?

The Morphée hotel is there to make you want to discover this city, located only 40 minutes by car from our hotel, and 50 minutes from Paris!

Since pleasing you is our priority, we have drawn up a list of the must-sees in this rebuilt city!

Let's start with a little anecdote...

Did you know that Arras was 95% destroyed during the First World War? The city center has been restored thanks to the plans of the original city.

Must-see #1: The Boves: you've come down very low!

At 12 meters in the bowels of Arras, explore the Boves, a vast network of underground passages, cellars and quarries. Discover all the buried secrets of this city full of history... But be careful: don't wake up the ghosts of the soldiers of the First World War! At your own risk!

Must-See #2: The Belfry: you have made a meteoric rise!

Overlook the Artois region from the Belfry, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and marvel at the unique panorama of the entire city of Arras! A unique experience and the perfect moment for a breath of fresh air!

Must-See #3: Touch the heart of the city of Arras!

From the Grand'Place, to the Heroes Place, contemplate the alignments of Flemish baroque gabled houses, taste the famous Arras andouillette, make beautiful porcelain souvenirs with Arras blue, and let yourself be charmed by the Art Deco facades of downtown Arras!

A little bonus just for you:

For a bucolic interlude, we invite you to walk around the Citadel of Arras built by Vauban in the 17th century. If you love history and nature, you will be won over!
